Get perfectly crispy chicken wings with bold Korean flavor using just one appliance. This simple air fryer method gives you restaurant-quality wings that are juicy inside and shatteringly crisp outside. Toss them in Mother-In-Law's new gochujang chile sauce for the perfect balance of spicy and sweet.
INGREDIENTS (serves 3–4)
For the wings:
- 2 lbs chicken wings (drumettes and flats)
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons potato starch
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
For the sauce:
- Mother-In-Law's Gochujang (Garlic, Original, or BBQ flavor)
- Optional: toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish
DIRECTIONS
- Dry the wings thoroughly with paper towels. Removing excess moisture is key to achieving crispy skin.
- Mix your dry seasoning. In a large bowl, combine the flour, potato starch, paprika, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and baking powder.
- Toss to coat. Add the dried wings to the bowl and toss until each piece is evenly coated with the dry rub.
- Arrange in the air fryer. Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each piece for air circulation.
- Air fry at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through. Flip the wings at the 10-12 minute mark for even crisping.
- Toss in Mother-In-Law's Gochujang. Transfer the crispy wings to a large bowl, add your desired amount of gochujang sauce, and toss until every wing is glossy and coated.
- Serve immediately while hot and crispy. Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions for extra flavor and crunch.
