Mother-in-Law’s Kimchi: FAQ
What is the shelf life of Mother-in-Law’s Kimchi? How long will it last in the refrigerator?
Kimchi is alive and will continue to change over time. Our product is delivered after one week of fermentation where it can be enjoyed for its fresh and vibrant flavors. As the kimchi matures, it will take on unique and distinct taste profiles with the spices mellowing and develop deeper, earthier characteristics. Your kimchi will continue to ripen in your refrigerator and will be delicious for up to 1 month.
The lid of the kimchi jar I purchased online protrudes. Is it safe to eat?
Your kimchi continues to ferment during shipping. As the pressure builds through this natural fermentation process, it is possible the jar lid will swell and in certain instances leak. This is perfectly natural and it is safe to consume the kimchi.
Can I purchase Mother-in-Law’s Kimchi locally? If so, where is it available?
We are continuing to make our kimchi available in grocery and specialty markets around the country. Look for our product in grocery stores in your area or visit our Find Us page for locations. If you would like your local market to carry MILKimchi, contact us at email@example.com
